Take the three files and put them in their own folder. Highlight all three files, right click, and select “extract here”. Next if you want the English patch, take the English patch file and extract it to its own folder. Then highlight all the files from the English patch you extracted and put them into the MonsterGirlQuest folder that was created when you extracted the game originally.

You should be prompted that a file already exists with that name and you should allow the new files to replace the ones with the same name. That was all I did and it worked just fine for me.

I have Windows 10 with my location still set to USA with English as the only language. If you are still having issues try setting your location to Japan and Language on your computer to Japanese.

I have my location set to Japan. I have my language set to Japanese. I have rebooted my computer several times. I have downloaded the files several times. I have renamed them to have the file extensions.rar.r00.r01 I am still getting the error “Error opening the archive(check available disk space, that you have a valid password, or the archive is not damaged or partial)” I have re-downloaded in case the files are damaged.

I have 150G of space on the drive so I doubt I am out of space. I would really like to give this game a try but I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. Trying to google an answer is pointless as none of the links in the search are for this game or one like it. Not sure why you’re getting the problem, as mine works perfectly. I’ll tell you exactly what I did, maybe I did something differently in installation that’ll fix yours?

1: install the files (duh) 2: open winrar and select the three game files (excluding the patch), and extract them to some folder in your computer. Importing the data from part 1 requires you to copy the file called arc.nsa and ONLY THIS ONE over the file that’s in part 2’s contents. You will also need to go into part 1 save files and copy the file under the name: global.sav, and likewise overrite the file of the same name in part 2. My problem is i’m an idiot and have no clue how to work a computer unless it’s used in basic terms. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to extract to a specific file, i get the download. Click it, extract with 7zip to ‘monsterGirlQuest/’ then get ‘CRC failed’ and arc.nsa file broken, then do what someone else said and make my own file in downloads and then repeat my 7zip extraction and get files with some weird symbol in between them.. So then i type in my specific file and it doesn’t go. Then i drag the extract to my specific folder, and click ‘extract here’ and get the same CRC failed, arc.nsa message. Someone help please.

*IMPORTANT* If useing DA-free(3 Part DL) you must use Winrar as not all of the arc.nsa file data is in one part of the Download as if you use 7-zip you will most likely get the message saying broken arc.nsa file because 7-zip cannot seem to combine the file before it is moved. ** Good Tip you can save anywhere in the game, when on the save menu click save it will come up with a error message ignore it lick the button then after that you will see a new message just lick the [Esc] button and it will save and then you can carry on playing like normal (this method works on MGQ 1 and MGQ 2) ive done 100% of both the game from this site and had no problems. Some of the bonus story’s have problems but there mostly simple to fix if you can be asked as you have access to the configuration setting file’s that are in the mod file as most of the problems are minor e.g.(missing character name, to much text, it can’t load picture or audio because it can’t access it) some are totally missing files needed to play them. Although the readme for the English patch says to replace everything in the original Japanese game with the patch contents, DO NOT DO THIS!!!

After dealing with the same problem as Koala and mc (review the comment section), I troubleshooted for a good 10 minutes before stumbling across an easy fix: 1. After extracting the contents of the English patch, copy and paste the contents (NOT THE FOLDER ITSELF) of the “system” folder into the “system” folder of the original Japanese game. Replace whatever it prompts you to. Copy and paste the rest of the English patch (MINUS THE “SYSTEM” FOLDER) into the original Japanese game. Replace whatever it prompts you to. Start up the game, and it should run fine (except for the text wrapping).

Just try to be somewhat safe. Step 2: Use a file extractor (WinRar or in my case 7Zip, which is legitly free by the way) to extract all the files EXCEPT the English download into one file. Step 3: Extract the English download INTO A SEPARATE FILE. Step 4: Open the folder holding the English download, highlight everything in the file, right click on any of the now highlighted files and navigate to “Copy” on the menu and click. Step 5: Open the folder holding the folder you extracted all the other files into.

I’d recommend NOT going into the folder itself just yet. Right click on the folder and click “Paste” on the menu. It should give you an error saying there are duplicate files. Click “Replace all”. This will now translate the game itself instead of just renaming the translation files so they don’t work.

You should now be able to open the folder and find the application that starts the game. So, like many others, I’m having a problem. I replaced everything (except the application) in Part 1 with the English patch. It runs okay, the title and the options (new, load, configure, extras, quit) being all in English. But as soon as it goes to the next page, where you have to choose the difficulty, it pops up with and error.

I don’t know what’s wrong, i think it has to do with the extraction in WinRAR, it won’t let me extract ANY file in the MonsterGirlQuest.part1.rar though, I followed all the instructions in the readme.txt. When i drag files into the MonsterGirlQuest.part1.rar it says “Cannot modify volume* I’ve done everything i can but it doesn’t seem to allow me to transfer the english patch over to the part 1.

Its a real hassle, but if you can see the contents it will be a lot easier. Ency is encylcopedia, bgm is background music, se is sound effects, all the.dat files and glovalsav go into sav file, place all things like bgm_bookmark & bgm_on, c_select, config, cursor, ef_white, ef_black, the encyclopedia pics (without text), face, gagee,only the lngtwave.dll, logo, mask, menu including mini_,return, save_new, saveload, spm, system, select_window, title, window, and anything related to the display into the systems folder.

All other.dll files stay out with the mon_que. All audio is either bgm or se. I cant list all the bgm, but youll have to seperate the long audio and short audio. The short are se, the long are bgm. All the ero_ and hsean go into se, plus i still cant find the voices, so try to organize. I didn’t knew this was reuploaded to MF and RS already! O_o That caught me by surparise!

XD I just come here to post how I much liked this game to find it’s already reuploaded. Sadly my PC crashed when I had this installed so I lost it. 😛 Fortunatly I beated the game once (in easy/normal mode, I was planning on replaying it in hard mode when my PC crashed). But its in jap prob and somewhere it says online that there is an eng patch for 33% of the game translated but i would wait for the entire 100% otherwise it’d be weird to play an eroge with words u can’t read. I found a fix around the problem I was having and would like to post my findings in case anyone else encounters this problem. Apparently the translation I was using that comes with a patch for the word wrap problem was causing problems, and the best solution is to play the game with out the patch until the next time you are able to save. At that point you can start up the the game with the patch again Until the next time the problem pops up again and you have to use the workaround again to continue the game.

I think Monster Girl 2 is already out in Japan. A site I visited posted the game’s CG pics. Not 100% sure though, but it seemed a lot(about 720 pics). Anyway, I downloaded this game cuz the artist(Kenkou Kurosu/Kenkou Cross) who drew Alice is my favorite monster girl artist. I think the other two were “Frfr”(Sylph, Gnome, Undine & Salamander’s artist) and “Un Do”(The zombie girls artist). I think there was one more but I forgot. I can’t wait for the second part.

Losing gets quite torturous as the monsters do not let you stop ejaculating, and there’s so much text that I got sick of it and decided to never lose again, since I was interested more in Alice and the story.

Alice’s voice as well as the other female voices sounded rather deep, I think if she had C.C.’s (Code Geass) voice that would be the sexiest snake/girl/heroine ever. Plus it was kinda cliche and obvious who she was considering she said that she got bruised from a big fight from a girl, like, the flash game Level Up!

Lol In any case I thoroughly enjoyed this and was getting worried that I wouldn’t have enough save files. I seriously wonder how much space this’ll take up. The conversations w/ other people were very amusing/humorous/entertaining that I decided to save at those points as well. It seems there are quite a handful of lamias in here. Whoa, talk about a well done game. Heavily anticipating the sequel. There were dozens of monsters that were of animals I couldn’t even imagine looking attractive.

Not particularly big on loli either, such as the scene early on with the band of kid bandits. Although I did enjoy some of it where they may look loli (usually only the face) but the way the delivery was handled, it set the mood perfectly. Normally I would judge anything that H-related because you forgive it because of the territory. This was made quite well considering. The best encounter I think there is probably isn’t even in the first part. The succubus in the trial of part 2 is perhaps loli (weirdly it’s presented as if she older) but it’s the best fight I’ve played.

Hope there is more succubus in that part;P. You can get the “Come in One Turn” achievement also by fighting Tamamo. To fight her, you have to accept the Poseidon’s Bell, then choose to fight her. She will utterly annihilate you instantly (she hits you for 300+ damage 9 times in a single turn). Also, the Mimic can kill you in one turn if you attack her when her chest is open. To get Ilias’ Monster Encyclopedia entry, you have to lose more than 15 times in a single play through and select “Evaluation”. After 15 evaluations, Ilias gets pissed off and ‘punishes’ you in a way only suitable to this game.

I already beat part 1 so i dont think it’ll matter if it had spoilers or not. @Caelistas, Luka caught Alice’s attention because she feel there was something odd about him(like the hidden powers he showed after pass out during a fight. She even theorize if his mother was a monster or the ring he carries give him some kind of power but she can’t find a answer.

Probably because of that she was inside his house when he came back from Ilias temple. And later i think she started to sympathize with his ideals and liking him. But i agree about someday in the future Luka will have to fight and defeat her •. The final book battle. That battle was just bullshit. I had to save mid-battle before edging as close to the point where she starts charging as possible, while making sure I had max SP ready. (Luckily, the game didn’t crash even though translation notes warned that the middle of battle wasn’t a “safe save location”.) I then used the Skull Crusher, hit her with two critical hits in a row (by saving and then loading a LOT, over and over) and another Skull Crusher.

Without both regular attacks critting, I couldn’t do enough damage to finish her off in time. If anyone knows a “proper” way of winning that fight, I’d love to know.
