Hi, I've been trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. The problem is installation fails, because the installer does not have permissions to install files into the windows folder.

Rar Password Finder Keygen Generator. It cannot install the Microsoft VC80_ATL and VC90_ATL. I've runned as Administrator, Tried to manually install the VC.msi installers, I've turned off AV,AS,Defender,Firewall and so on, I've tried installing through Command Prompt running as administrator and writing msiexec /a 'file destination'. Still no luck, Tried installing from desktop, tried safe mode, nothing works!! Installer log is long, so I'll say only that it gives Exit Code 6.I've been waiting a long time now, hoping adobe will release a fix, but theres none.

Hi guys, I had the same problem and the following worked for me. I'm running Win7 x64 Ultimate, and installer crashed with exit code 6.

First, log in as administrator. Try to install PS. When Adobe Installer fails, open its log (C: Program Files(x86) Common files Adobe Installers). Find a string that says 'Error 1402: cannot open key.' Open any registry editor you have (I used Reg Organizer Portable), go to HKLM software microsoft windows currentversion installer userdata s-1-5-18 components.

Find there a key with a number specified in the Adobe log. Then simply remove all of its parameters. Try to reinstall PS.

Actually, there was a bunch of keys that I needed to remove. I reinstalled PS about 7 or 8 times until all was ok. Eeprom Bin File Editor. Use Revo-Unistaller and remove it completely. Then go back to Adobe.com and try downloading the trial version again. Worked for me.Bless you bless you a thousand times bless you! I have been running a beta version of IBM Lotus Symphony on my system. (That is IBM's implementation of the Open Office standard, essentially a freeware version of Microsoft Office.) I dug around and found that I should be running an official release version.

So I downloaded that & tried to install it. It gagged part way through saying it couldn't find a certain.msi file. The installation process appeared to install hundreds upon hundreds of files in the most elaborate of directory structures. They were in Program Files (x86), Documents and Settings, Users, and those are just the ones I foound on my own. But late in the process it said it was now going to uninstall the beta version & that's when it said it needed a Symphony CD with a.msi file on it. Of course, I couldn't find such a file. And a product CD?

There's a good laugh. So when I cancelled that search, the install claimed to be backing out of its install. Which left behind the hundreds of files & countless registry entries. And I couldn't uninstall the beta version using the standard tool in the Control Panel.

I was convinced that if I could somehow expunge the beta version from my system, I could get the official release installed. I tried doing it manually but I think I may have done maybe only half the job. And in this case, half the job was a LOT of pieces, but it wasn't enough. So I came to the Forums, of course.

Best place to get questions answered on W7. And this thread showed up when I did a search on uninstall failures due to.msi problems. This thread is completely irrelevant to my problem. No overlap whatsoever.

Except for your comment to uninstall the application with Revo Uninstaller. I'd never heard of the thing before. But I thought what the hey, I've manually botched the uninstall of this thing.

How much further damage could this strange program do? So I installed Revo Uninstaller & ran it. I looked at the choices it offered & decided I would let it do its deepest registry scan & its fullest file deletion. It started out by trying to run the application uninstaller, same as I have been trying to do unsuccessfully ALL STINKIN' DAY, and it got the same stupid error I've gotten quite sick of. But then it continued on to the deep scan parts. It turned up hundreds of registry entries to delete.

I said ditch them all. And then it turned up dozens of directories and files. I said ditch them all. With crossed fingers (which makes it a bit hard to type) I tried YET AGAIN to install Lotus Symphony.

AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!! So I say again: Bless you bless you a thousand times bless you! Thou rockest! Ok, here comes the trick (I am quite sure this will work on other language versions too). • Make sure that Photoshop is closed! • Open the Finder: /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Locales/de_DE/Support Files • In the 'Supported Files' directory you will find a file named 'tw10428.dat' • Rename 'tw10428.dat' to 'tw10428.bak'* • Start Photoshop (GUI language should be English now) • Done!:) * To rename 'tw10428.dat' >Right click on 'tw10428.dat' file >Select 'Get Info' >Goto the 'Name & Extension' label >In the textfield you type 'tw10428.bak'. After closing the current dialog don't forget to confirm the changes with 'Use.bak'.
