I have a built in card reader in my Gateway 4860 ub32p. It previously worked flawlessly with Windows 7, but I recently upgraded to Windows 8.

Now, when I put a micro SD card in the reader and I click on the card's icon, it says that the file format (.tdb) is not supported. Then it gives me the option to open it with a number of other programs - Photo Viewer, Wordpad, Adobe reader, iTunes, etc., but none of them work, either.

It also suggests trying apps from the apps store. But when I do a search there aren't any apps listed. I am simply trying to copy some photos in.jpg format from the card to my hard drive. What I suspect is that the card reader's driver is not compatible with Windows 8. Can any one out there help me with a fix? I have checked Gateway's website for card reader drivers with no luck.
